Having a dog... having 2 dogs... in the company of dogs...

Spent the last weekend satisfying the dogs' desire for more outdoor time. You know they want to go out when they start looking at their carrying bag and belt out that eww-eww sound. We try our best. Just too few places in HK that allow dogs.

We brought them to a colleague's place on Saturday. K just had a baby girl. The son is 3 years old and the husband is terrified of dogs. Fortuntely the boy was not visibly shakened by the presence of the pups while the father managed to hide his fear well...

After that we drove down to Gold Coast, hoping that the Gold Coast name means a lifestyle of yacht, sand and dogs running under the sun. Unfortunately we get big "No dogs allowed" signages and smokers all over the place. Lifestyle... my foot... In the end, frustrated, we made our way home and ordered pizza from Cheese Pizza.

Sunday morning we set off early for the SPCA walk at Disneyland Resort HK. The walk took us one round along the perimeter of the resort. Starting at around 8:30am we finished the walk at approximately 10:20am. A good 5.4km walk with the dogs, along which we saw a few dogs suffering heat strokes. Poor Bernese Mountain Dogs and Golden Retrievers were vomitting and walking like drunk dogs.

More pictures from the walk below...

Sometimes I wonder if HK is really a world city. My world city will be one where pets and owners alike will have an easier life. No dogs here no pets there... I think my pups will have an easier life back in SG... At least they don't have to worry about receiving lawyer letters simply by staying in any condo apartments.

My company is holding a D&D in Shenzhen office. We are not invited. The company didn't have a D&D for HK office due to money constraints. Or so they claimed. And now they have a D&D for around 140 staff in Shenzhen. What a load of bull...

I had to foot money out of my own pocket to participate in a dinner with people I don't even like... Hopefully I don't have to face such discrimination again next year...
