Dog-friendly and friendly dogs...

Was surfing around for places to bring the poodles when I go back to Singapore. Dogs are allowed in all parks (including Botanical Gardens and Reservoir parks) provided they are leased. There are also places where they can run around without a leash like Katong Park where there's a designated dog-run area. That will be a nice place to bring the pups without getting glares and stares from dog-haters...

Then I also found out that I can bring the dogs along if I decided to check into the Capella Singapore. But at SGD650/night... that's a bit too expensive... maybe I'll just bring them on day trips to Sentosa so they can run on the sand~ Other hotels that allow dogs are the Regent and Hilton... but no point to visit these places since Singapore is such a small island~

But if I decide to visit Pulau Ubin then I can check into some dodgy resort called Celestial Resort... http://www.celestialresort.com/

Ubin... bumboat ride... dogs... hmm... I think I will just stick to East Coast Park first...

How do you get your dogs from point A to point B? I want to take my dogs to the dog park at/near Bishan but I don't have a car, and I hear different things about taking them in cabs. I live near East Coast, I wish there was an off-leash area here.

Hi Flora,

What's the breed of your 2 dogs? Looks really comfortable to lie on...

For transport it helps that we own a car. Since there are so small we can bring them around on carriers. I know some people do provide pet transport services for $20/way. I'll check it out and let you know~

There's a dog-run within Katong Park. Which part of EC do you stay in? The park is near to Tanjong Rhu end of Meyer Road.
